Have you ever felt you were stranded on a desert island? On Friday, September the 2nd, the world lost an eikaiwa role model.
Bob Denver died of complications from treatment he was receiving for cancer. Denver's characters Gilligan and Maynard Krebbs were and are the role models of many an eikaiwa teacher. Gilligan's bumbling ineptitude warmed a generation's heart and inspired the behavior of most modern day eikaiwa teachers. Krebb's shriek of fear whenever the word "work" was mentioned can heartily be appreciated by all eikaiwa teachers. The lesson he taught was simple: be a good guy, try your hardest, and no matter how badly you fuck up, you'll still get Mary Ann's banana cream pie, a good look at Ginger, and the promise of the Howell's millions by the end of the day. So, go out and buy that sailor's cap you know you've always wanted, put it on, look at yourself in the mirror and say, 'Way to go, little buddy!'"

What more can one man say?
Chris, co-owner of this website, with all of the hurdles he has to overcome being who he is, can say in 10 lines or less what some people take a lifetime to regurgitate.
Chris, did you let Howell give you that cream pie in return for his millions? Oh, hold on, I misread your post.
