Sahashi to Appear Before Labor Standards Office

It appears that Sahashi will finally come out of hiding. The Osaka Chuo Labor Standards Office has requested that Sahashi appear before them to explain things in order to determine if the delays in pay violated the Labor Standards Law.

It sounds like a no-brainer, but what the Labor Standards Law is doing is a formality--they'll question him and then order him to pay his employees or else. Sahashi would be a fool to not appear because his non-compliance would potentially land him in jail.

I am not sure how this will help the Nova workers in the short or long term, but finally, the man who is the most accountable is finally having to explain to a formal body, his actions. With Anders quitting and now this, I cannot understand why anyone would feel comfortable even showing up at work. The company is dead and running on life support through the actions of loyal staff. If only Monkey Bridge was as loyal to his workers as they are to him.

He only resigned as a member of the board. He is still working at head office. (and still scaring the kiddies)

Re. the above comment: Anders hasnt quit. He remains in charge of the Education Qualoty Control Group. He has, however, relinquished his position on the board of directors.

At last, an official bollocking could be on the cards. Its about time the authorities started putting some pressure on him. I dont know if its illegal, but its certainly immoral to leave us hanging in limbo for so long without any answers. I hope he doesnt show though. It would fill me with immense satisfaction to see him being taken to jail. Petty revenge i know, but hey, its all i have. Everyone sing together(to the tune of London Bridge)...Monkey bridge is going down, going down, going down! (repeat) Sayonova!

Any ideas *where* this little slime-ball get together is happening? I still doubt he'll turn up, however. I mean, he might be threatened with jail if he doesn't turn up .. but remember, there's a heap of instructors out there waiting to pay their dear CEO a visit.

In fact, I'm sure the 1,000 plus instructors and ex-instructors in the Osaka area would just be DYING to meet him and shake his hand.

After it has been severed by a cheese grater in the riot that is sure to follow.

Perfect timing..i just got me a cheese grater at the hyaku yen shop today..so i'll bring it along. I was planning on using it though to make cheese on toast for the next 8 weeks until my Hello Kitty money comes thru.

Nova head office in Osaka is pretty easy to find.
Midosuji street, just before the Dotumbori river.
You can meet him going in or coming out of the building!

Before - what he actually looks like

After- after someone tried to use photoshop to make him better looking, lol.

When is this going down? Anyone have a date and source?

THE FLSA and Japanese labor laws are just two companions for businesses, besides this great blog. Globalization is a real issue and smaller, national companies can really improve if they are aware of the laws and tools to improve employee efficiency. Integral and together with that, is employee efficiency and there is a great software product that sets the bar for engineered labor standards made by go4sight.com. IF you visit http://www.go4sight.com/Services/Implementation_Services.html you'll find their labor management systems and software.
