To those who posted about EC questionarres, yep. students evaluate you on smiles, caring, they go nuts for that rubbish.
And to the teacher who asked what to expect from G-com...expect the unexpected. they are brand new and have gone from no english schools to 243 in under a year. so i dont think they even really know whats going on hahaha

The numbers/email addresses for nova personnel haven't changed. It's the same number that you would call if you had to call in sick. If you check your paperwork from nova you will find the information there.
I told Nova I was quiting by sending them a NOVA resignation form (it's available at ). On this form, I stated my reasons for my resignation and requested they send me a Rishokuhyo. I recommend calling them maybe 5 minutes after you do it to ensure it got there.
This will be given to payroll section. Approximately 7-10 days later you should receive your rishokuhyo (green paper) and a separate form which is red and white. Take these forms to Hello Work.
The staff at Hello Work didn't speak English, but this is different depending on the day you go and the branch that you goto. Try to take a japanese friend with you-if you can't then take a dictionary.
Some useful phrases. Watashi no kaisha no ken de koko ni kimashita. Watashi no kaisha wa nova desu. This means i've come here in regards to my company. My company is nova. (if they don't know whats going on now, they shouldn't be working there).
Take your bankbook or bank details, your unemployment card (or at least your unemployment number-u can request this from NOVA), rishokuhyo (if you have it), your gaijin card, hanko (stamp), and 2 passport photos. Also take your address details. Other things I would recommend you take (just in case), your Nova contract, passport, salary receipts.
I should just say, you can start the application process at Hello Work before you receive the rishokuhyo. They know what's going on by now, the rishokuhyo is more a formality than anything. If for some reason you find it difficult to get the rishokuhyo, hello work will look into it for you, but no sooner than 10 days after you hand your resignation notice in to NOVA.

As far as I know I am still oficially employed by the old Nova! Another day is half over and there is jackshit on the Nova webpage regarding the plight of its 3000+ "contracted" instructors. Who's the mouthpiece/talking head for this mickey mouse company?? No message for the troops from Lugquist and co...your bankrupt already send me my godamn paperwork and a receipt showing the total amount wages I am owed for September/October!!..and November!!

Now we've got the Yomiuri telling us this about interviews for drone positions at this Nova reincarnate Friday and Saturday, the frickin union telling us to come back to our old branches on Saturday stand in the street meet up with ex Nova muppets and offer to teach them English for food and I have just read that G Com were caught and fined for insider stock trading as recently as October 2006!! And their 38 year old CEO has all the hallmarks of another megalomaniac Sahashi!!

I want to rant about one more thing..you good people at Nova FP are doing your best I'm sure..god knows how you lot are surviving..but I read some of you dudes were writing "personal reasons" on peoples resignation documents and certificates to take to Hello Work. That's a final insult on behalf of the company to your fellow colleagues. Hello Work have woken up to this anyway and obviously know what's going on but you should have the commonsense to write non payment of wages, defaulted contract by Nova, bankruptcy, criminal CEO etc as the reason for resignation.

I just read about the interview news too, mind you it's only in Japanese. It would appear staggering that the news hasn't appeared in English if they want to interview people tomorrow.
