Sahashi Investigated for Breach of Trust

Can anyone smell Sarhashi farts coming from the above statement? What role did this banruptcy administrator have in the G Comm deal? What the hell?

That Saruhashi is an unabashed charlatan – Japan owes it to itself, for reputations sake at least, to bring this unholy thieving mother fucker to justice.

Those burnt by Nova and still stuck in Japan - find out where this guy lives, and protest right in front of his house - demand your money - this latest news is just the tip of the iceberg - the guy is worth a squillion bucks, most of it misappropriated. He lives in luxury, eating caviar and drinking fine french champagne, while you eat cup noodles, wondering how on earth you will get the money together to get home.

I am sure you will find plenty of burned students who will be willing to join your protest, by the way.

I'd like to ask if anyone has signed one of those "final salary & document request form" forms that G-clown are sending out to people whose contracts are not going to be extended? it seems like just the standard form you could pick up in any nova branch. the heading has ofcourse been changed from nova to G.education, but why are they sending them out, when we could just as easily get them from our branches? it seems like they are intimidating people into quitting by doing this. my real question though is this, if you sign this, after having been told that you are not getting a new contract, will you appear to be quitting? i.e. in the government's eyes, will this signature represent a voluntary resignation, which would jeopardise your chances of getting unemployment benefits immediately? i ask this because the document looks uncannily like the one nova teachers used to fill out upon resigning. should those of us affected be wary of signing this document? i ask this in complete seriousness, i'm not trying to make them look even more canniving and sinister than they are, but they obviously don't have our best interests at heart. i need some informed feedback on this quickly people, so if someone could help me out, please put in a comment. thanks a million

i have about 5 or 6 weeks left on my contract. do you know of anybody who did sign and then discovered that there were problems with claiming unemployment?

The way i understand the unemployment benefit is that no one is elegible yet to claim any benefit whatsoever from the govt. You have to work for a minimum of six months for a company paying the insurance to be eligible for it. As G.cunt has only been going since december then that makes option a people have to wait till the end of may to be fired and then claim benefit, option b people till the end of june.
If they 'release' you before then it means in effect no unemployment benefit as you haven't worked for them long enough to get it.
It's all very nicely planned so the govt. doesn't have to pay any money to anyone, g.cunt has 6 months to decide if they want to keep you and if not then bye bye before six months and everyone's happy. Brilliant play by the govt.
All smells rather cunning to me

I know a guy who went to his local Hello Work office and explained the situation and was told that he would be able to claim unemployment benefit. As I said above, it seems to vary depending on which branch/staff member you talk to. Generally though, from what I've heard, the Hello Work staff seem to be pretty sympathetic toward the current situation Nova/G.Comm employees/ex employees find themselves in.

1. "final salary & document request form". When I was not offered a contract (remember, all NOVA contracts expired the day NOVA was declared bankrupt so there is nothing to be renewed), I was given that infamous and meaningless piece of paper (the one with non dates, names etc ...) but nobody asked me to sign anything. I don't know for sure why they are now asking to sign this form, but I think it's because in case of a dispute (which will start very soon) they will be able to prove that they haven't fired anyone but you did actually resign. My suggestion is DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING!!!! if they don't give you a contract is because they are basically firing you, so THEY SHOULD GIVE YOU all the necessary papers without the need for you to sign any document.

2. Unemployment benefits. It is absolutely not true that no one is eligible for unemployment benefits. I have been to Hello Work myself and was told that with the papers we received from the trustees after NOVA bankruptcy we have a 12 months time to apply for benefits. I applied for benefits and in the form I was asked to fill out, I had to put down the name of my last employer (G-motherfuckers) and then NOVA. So, don't worry. I f you have worked at the old NOVA for long enough, go to Hello Work and apply for your benefits.

Another thing I would like to add to this blog is a message to all of you who keep talking about govt. conspiracies, xenophobic policies etc... For sure the govt. of this country has got a xenophobic attitude and Japan is once again withdrawing from the rest of the world, the govt. may even be involved, to some extent, in this nova/G-shit situation. But after all, it has not try to take away what is due to you by law, whether you are a foreigner or not. So far, anyone who was entitled to unemployment benefits have got them and no one has had his/her visa confiscated upon losing their job with NOVA. This country will even pay 80% of our lost wages. In other countries, when a company goes under you only get what it's owned to you if the company has some asset liquidators can sell and get any cash from. So, we are all distressed and maybe we don't love this country, but we should try nevertheless to get a balanced perspective of things.

I totally agree with the above comment and I have found the same to be true. I really feel we have been lied to and cheated numerous times by OLD Nova and NEW Nova BUT almost everyone I have talked to in our situation, whether your contract hasn't been renewed or you were on 'plan B,' has said that the government bureaus (Hello work, Labour office, Immigration etc.) have been nothing but helpful and at times apologetic about our situation.
I, and at least 3 others I know, have been to the Hello Work office (in three different locations I might add) and there have been almost no questions asked. We were even given concessions like not having to attend the introduction seminar or not having to visit the office as many times as Japanese. In fact, when I was there two weeks ago for my monthly visit the man working at the desk even bowed to me and said Sumimasen as I left. I got my first payment last week and I am great full.

I would guess that it is temporary. I guess it means G.communications didn't take over that part of NOVA group and so the receivers are responsible for it's administration until it's liquidated.　

To put things into perspective that is only 40million dollars. In the grand scheme of things that is mere peanuts. The government spends more than that on a few Km of elevated highway.
The retirement payment scandal is in a completely different league.
