The Asahi Shimbun has reported that Roots, the shady company Sahashi gave 22 million shares to in order to raise money, has sold 5 million of the 8 million shares that it never returned to Sahashi.
According to the brief article, the Asahi learned though stock transaction documents filed with the Kanto Local Finance Bureau, that Roots sold 5 million of the shares in seven transactions between August 20 and 29. Going by past news articles, since Nova is no longer listed, Nova's share price was around ¥40 before it plunged to ¥29 on August 29. The article makes no mention of the price the shares were sold at nor is there any mention of what happened to the remaining 3 million shares, but it is safe to say that if the shares have not been sold, they are worthless now.
So it seems Sahashi got scammed out of his shares. Assuming Roots sold the shares at ¥40, it potentially made off with ¥200,000,000.
Nova may be dead and buried, but I wonder if Sahashi will contest this. After all, he has maintained that the shares are his, and a man of his ego wouldn't stand for this--that is, if he ever shows his face in public.

Firsties! Roots is not the clothing company
i surmise...that was funny during the sydney olympics ..canadas official clothing sponsor was "roots"
the aussies loved it...especially the entry parade.
Good!
I'm glad sahashi got fucked out of some money after his years of scamming customers and employees. Wish it could have been more.
I hope everybody is wise enough to stay away from G-NOVA.

Lawsuit against "Saruhashi": Shakai-Hoken and "work time"
Submitted by A. Socialist (not verified) on Tue, 11/27/2007 - 18:16.
Hello together!
I will try to sue our EX-President in a civil law suit.
Why?
Reason:
1. Unpaid working time between the lessons for the under A40-teachers.
2. Due to unpaid time not elegible for Shakai-Hooken.
If the law suit is won, there are only benefits.
Which?
Benefits:
1. Since the action taken by NOVA were illegal, "Saruhashi" personally can be sued. Understand? Since NOVA is out of money, he has to take responsibility for ILLEGAL action of his former company. Hence benefit 1 is: We get him at his balls!
2. Squeeze money out of his pockets into ours!
3. Have backpaid Shakai-Hoken. If you leave Japan someday, you can apply for cash refund, without having ever paid into the Shakai-Hoken-system, since the company (in this case Saruhashi) is 100% responsible for illegaly unpaid fees.
So, why I am writing this?
Reasons:
1. I am a socialist, and want my fellows to share.
2. To share the win of the lawsuit!
3. To share the initial cost of suing, like hiring a lawyer and court fees.
I expect a personal amount of 1.000 Yen, when 500 MEN and WOMEN join my suit.
Now it is up to you, if you are only "wining weeners" or if you really think, that you are right and Saruhashi is wrong?!?
2 possible decisions:
1. I have no balls. Saruhashi is right. I am wrong.
2. I'm in.
If 2. is your option, then mail to
Mail from a unique email address and include a pseydonym/ a nickname.
At the current state no real names shall be used.
Please include also the contract type you were working under (A37, A34, etc.) and why you worked in the lesson intervall other then the paid working time (e.g. additional student questions, walking time from class to teachers room, writing comments, giving oral comments to staff, copying material, going to toilet, forced by trainer/ staff, waiting for stamp on lesson cover form, rescheduling needs, etc.)
Be honest, and be clear.
I will promise to organize, and inform on a daily basis.
Depending on the number of participants, I will calculate the necessary individual amount that every participant would have to pay.
Since this shall not be a scam or fraud, I will discuss with the UNION (I am not a member), the labour office and other relevant public institutions, how to deposit the money in a transparent and safe way. If anybody has a suggestions of a trusted person/ institution please inform us!
For the unexpected case, that only a few people have balls here, I will sue AND probably settle with Saruhashi on an individual basis. No further comment concerning this suit will send be made public.
So, I am eager to read your responses.
A. Socialist
1,000 yen?
If every single instructor and member of Japanese staff had stuck around by the middle-end of October, we could have all chipped in MUCH less than that and bought the company outright, ousting Saruhashi in a bloodless coup. We could have called the shots and have had the trustees at our mercy.
